If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Salisbury follows the Newham policy for deciding admissions to the school.
If you wish to apply for place in a state-funded school in Newham during the school year you must make an in-year application –www.newham.gov.uk/inyear
Fair Access Protocol
The law requires that each local authority must have a Fair Access Protocol (FAP), agreed with the majority of schools in its area to ensure that for In Year admissions unplaced children, especially the most vulnerable, are offered a place at a suitable school as quickly as possible. In agreeing a protocol, the local authority must ensure that no school - including those with available places - is asked to take a disproportionate number of children who have been excluded from other schools, or who have challenging behaviour. Salisbury Primary School has signed up to the LB Newham’s Fair Access Protocol.
We accept children’s names for the nursery waiting list from their first birthday. We cannot guarantee you a place, but we try to offer all children at least three terms in the nursery before entry to our school.
We offer children a morning only nursery placement 8.45am-11.45pm or an afternoon only placement 12.30pm-3.30pm.
If you would like to put your child’s name on our nursery waiting list you may do this after their first birthday. Please come to the school office and ask for a form.
All three and four year old children are entitled to free early years education and some children qualify for free early education from the age of two. Please click on our for more information.
If your two-year old qualifies for free early education, they will usually start in the term after their second birthday.
