Beyond The Classroom

Rainforest Holiday Project

During the February half term, year 3 had to complete a project linked to their new topic - Rainforests. The children, siblings and parents/carers spent time together, collaborating and having fun when completing the project. I’m sure you will agree; these projects look amazing! We want to say well done to all of those who took part.

The Rainforest- Bringing our topic to life!

As part of our Rainforest topic, the year 3 children participated in an immersive experience at Kew Gardens, exploring the sights and smells of the rainforest plants located in one of Kew’s magnificent glasshouses. They explored a journey through the rainforest, observing and investigating rainforest products, discussing the importance of the rainforest in our everyday life and the lives of those who live within the rainforest. Children had an incredible adventure and enjoyed their play at the Children’s Garden despite the weather.

Golf Day Experience

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a golf day experience. Children learnt about the rules of the game and began to develop their skills. They learnt the importance of hand-eye coordination and aiming to hit a target. The children collaborated effectively by offering constructive feedback to aid each other's progress. Overall, it was clear that they had a fantastic time and gained valuable insights into the world of golf.
