Local Area Walk
As a part of our topic ‘We love Newham’, children in Year 1 went on a local walk to identify landmarks in their local area. The children were able to recognise some popular Newham landmarks such as Manor Park Station, Romford Road Post Office, and Wood Grange Park Station.
Many children were also able to identify capital letters in the names of the places they saw during the local walk.
