Art Week in Year 1 - June 2023
During Art Week the children in year 1 used plasticine to explore the techniques needed to make a vehicle. They pinched, twisted, rolled, squeezed, and pulled. They had lots of fun creating different shapes! They concluded their Art Week activities by using clay to create a type of transportation.
Kings and Queens Immersion Day - April 2023
As part of the year 1 Immersion Day for the summer 1 topic ‘King Charles III’, the children of year 1 used the VR headsets to explore Buckingham Palace. They enjoyed seeing different rooms in the palace. They also learnt to sing a national anthem and greet a monarch by bowing or curtsying.
