As part of our Stone Age topic, Year 3 students embarked on an enriching educational visit to Bruce Castle. During this engaging workshop, the children had the opportunity to explore a variety of artefacts, which they were permitted to handle. This hands-on experience allowed them to utilise all of their senses, thereby deepening their understanding of the Stone Age period. The visit not only enhanced their knowledge but also fostered a greater appreciation for historical artefacts.
Celebrating Diwali through Dance
To celebrate our diverse community, Year 3 children participated in an engaging dance workshop for Diwali. During this vibrant experience, the children explored a traditional story linked to the festival and learned a corresponding dance to honour the heritage of Diwali. The dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated by the children in mastering the choreography were commendable, and the entire workshop was infused with joy and excitement. It was a wonderful opportunity for our children to embrace and celebrate cultural traditions through the art of dance.
Holiday Projects
Enter the world of South America! During the recent half term, our Year 3 pupils were encouraged to embark on an exciting holiday project linked to their new topic, 'South America'. With the invaluable support of parents and guardians, the children exhibited remarkable creativity by crafting models of various South American animals. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all parents, guardians, and children who participated in this wonderful project. The results are truly impressive, and we are proud to display their fantastic creations. Thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm in bringing this project to life!
