December 2023 - The Littlest Christmas Elf Panto

Nursery really enjoyed this years EYFS Panto experience. Big Foot Arts Education sent 'Elf Kat' to put on a show about the Littlest Christmas Elf. You can see how much the children enjoyed the interactive experience, and joining in with the songs and dance routines with 'Elf Kat' and her puppet friends.

December 2023 - Preparing for Christmas.

During our 'Celebrations topic, we have been making cards and decorations for a range of celebrations.

This month we have worked very hard to get ready for the Christmas season. The two year olds can be seen here, developing their creative skills to make Santas, crackers and Christmas jumpers.

The three and four year olds worked collaboratively to decorate the tree with tinsel and baubles. Great team work everyone.

November - Learning about Diwali.

This term, children in Nursery learnt about the story of Rama and Sita. The two year olds really enjoyed playing with the story masks. They then developed their hand manipulation skills to mould a salt dough diva pot. Once their pots had dried they selected colours to decorate and were able to take them home.

October 2023 - Making new friends in our Nursery.

Now that we are a little more settled, we are feeling more confident to link up with others to share experiences. Some children still like to play alongside others or their familiar adult. Some children are really enjoying co-operating with their peers to complete a task. We have all been developing our social skills and will continue to build our confidence as we play and learn.

September 2023 - Settling in to our new Nursery.

It has been lovely meeting all our new Nursery children. They have settled in steadily, leaving their parents, and becoming happy to stay and play. They have been getting used to the new environment and building trusted relationships with their key person.  New friendships are being made, and they are showing their independence in selecting resources and activities. Children have been choosing from a wide selection of activities, both indoors and outdoors and have been keen to show us what they can do!
