This term the children’s topic has been climate change and one aspect of their studies has been on the impact littering in our local community (Manor Park). To support them with their understanding of the effect that littering has on their local area the children participated in a mock litter pick within the school grounds. This evoked lots of discussion which was then used to support them in writing persuasive letters to their local Member of Parliament.
